Well, I haven't been around for a while but I thought it was time to get this thing going again; and I have a planned upgrade to CS 2.0 to try and get done. I'm currently sitting in HP in Boeblingen Southern Germany.
We've been getting some benchmarks going for a client using some of the HUGE hardware HP have available here; I have a picture of a Task Manager with 64 CPUs around which I'll post up when I have a chance. It's been pretty interesting working on a system quite this big; the DB is in the multi-terabyte region and we're using more than 50 web servers on the front end. It's also been interesting to see how SQL Server 2005 works at this level of scale-up (turns out REALLY well, especially compared to 2000!). So apart from that, I've been on Biztalk 2006 training last week (turns out NOT as boring as it sounds ;-)) as well as doing a bit of work to get our team blog relaunched..so look out for it we have some really great people who are doing really wierd stuff with customers (not like that!....well mostly not like that :-))
Whew...my real problem has been finding content to put on this thing...but I guess it's really just laziness I never really had anything *that* interesting here previously.
