Good article on Codeproject - those wierd little images used to stop automated form submission

This would be pretty useful integrated into .TEXT - kill the problem of 'Comments Spamming' pretty instantly.

The article also contained a link to The Captcha Project - which makes for pretty interesting reading,

I my past life (when I worked for a ticket broker), this would have been very easy to break with a little bit of despeckling and a decent OCR.

Agreed, the actual implementation shown in the article is a bit on the simplistic side, with a bit of tweaking (for example some more artifacts and better image warping), it would be pretty secure - but take a look at The Captcha Project stuff...things like this: http://www.captcha.net/cgi-bin/gimpy would be really difficult to recognize (OK, a well trained Neural Net coukd do it - but most porn providers won't have them!)

There should be a new feature in the next build which allows you to moderate comments.

It sucks to even have to think about this, but I think it gives you a lot better control.

Excellent - yup, it does suck to think about this, I'm seriously thinking about getting the 'membership' feature I've discussed previously underway...so I'd require a validated email address / login to post comments.
But then, I've yet to find time to upgrade to 0.95 :-)
